You can't tell from the image but this ball of yarn is huge. If I start now, I might have a whole bunch of dishcloths finished by Christmas. The yarn is just plain, simple cotton but I'm looking forward to working with it.Are you inspired by your raw ingredients? Do you like to pick your project based on what you have to work with? Or maybe you decide on what you want to do and then hunt out the materials to suit.

That's how I scrap. I almost always have to start with a picture or series of pictures that I want to use and build my page from there.
I start with the materials first then figure out what to make with it. I've made cat toys from outgrown baby socks and shirts, scarves from fleece blankets, fabric covered magnets boards born from worn out cookie sheets and bed sheet remnants, the list goes on and on! I'm posting the magnet board tutorial later this week!

I work with the materials I stumble across. Usually I find stuff on sale or in 2nd hand shops and figure out what I can do with it... and I think I pull of some great things!
I usually decide on a project whether it's scrapbook, jewelry or something else, see what supplies I have then buy/find whatelse I need. Very seldom do I decide on a project based on something I already have.
